Snorkeling and swimming:

One of the best places for snorkeling in the area is Half Moon Bay, directly in front of the hotel. The bay is a biological reserve, is rich with coral, and has an amazing diversity of fish. The water is quite shallow and safe even for the inexperienced. Please no fishing in the bay; also do not remove any shells, coral or any living creatures from inside the bay.
Another beautiful spot to snorkel is Yal-Ku lagoon. It is within walking distance from the hotel. Abundant in marine life, the lagoon is a combination of fresh water from underground rivers and salt water from the ocean. Yal-Ku is a stunning location, not to be missed. Akumal is also a superb place for diving. Two dive shops in central Akumal provide professional services and cater to both experienced and beginning divers.
